When making the decision about moving to a continuing care retirement community (CCRC, also called a life plan community), there are a lot of different factors to consider. If you cherish your independent, active lifestyle and are a forward-thinking planner, you may be pleasantly surprised to learn what a great fit it will be.
Listen as our panel of resident experts shares their expectations and experiences about life at RiverWoods Manchester. Meet our panelists, then translate their wisdom into your own success story.

Sylvia and Web Anderson – Are from Chester, NH, and arrived in Manchester about a year ago. Sylvia loves to garden and is can be found tending the gardens and grounds here at RiverWoods Manchester. She is the past President of the Chester Historial Society and enjoys singing. Web enjoys fitness, the outdoors and is a member of a local Men’s group.
Valorie Calef – Valorie made the move back to New England from Utah in August 2020 where she worked at a ski resort for many years. She was a licensed hot air balloon pilot who chartered trips and tours. She enjoys skiing, biking and being outdoors. She also enjoys dinners with friends.
Peter Powers – Peter moved to RiverWoods in September from Hopkinton, NH where he lived and worked as a regional executive with Exxon for 35 years. He enjoys classical music, singing and is a leader in the regional Rotary group.
