All Person’s Trail at The Cedar Swamp Preserve

The Nature Conservancy’s Project is Complete

The newly constructed All Person’s Trail at the Cedar Swamp Preserve is open to the public. At 1.2 miles and ADA compliant, this trail will be enjoyed by all who wish to connect with nature. Being ADA compliant means that the trail surface is even, and easy to navigate. Additional features include:
  • Benches for resting as needed
  • Boardwalks and overlooks for safely observing any terrain type
  • An audible interactive trail experience called Travel Storys for those who are vision or hearing impaired
  • The parking lot and trail marker signs make it easy for everyone to enjoy
  • The Manchester Transit system added a bus stop at the parking lot
For us, the best part is that the All Person’s Trail and the wonders of the Cedar Swamp Preserve are less than 1/4 mile from our main entrance. You might be surprised to learn that RiverWoods Manchester is located in the Northwest corner of the city limits, yet minutes from some of the best shopping and dining in the state!
The Ribbon Cutting Celebration featured inspiring words and blessings from many community groups including:
Mark Zankel—State Director, The Nature Conservancy in New Hampshire
Denise and Paul Pouliot—Head Speakers for The Cowasuck Band of the Pennacook-Abenaki People
James McKim—President, NAACP of Greater Manchester
Aislinn Graves—Wheels in the Wilderness
Bill Foss—Resident, RiverWoods Manchester, and TNC Volunteer
Randy Pierce—President and CEO, Future in Sight
Several residents of RiverWoods Manchester enjoy all of the trails and volunteer with The Nature Conservancy. This unique preserve is a gift to the community of RiverWoods Manchester and we are truly blessed with the opportunity for more people to enjoy it regularly. In fact, a stop was added to some of the regularly scheduled transportation for drop off and pick up at the preserve making it easy for residents to enjoy this trail and the nature connection.
